Inspired by nature, morning light and the tiny drops of water that turn the Irish landscape silver and green.

Soft aqua, deep teal and polished silver tones come together in The Celtic Dew, a graceful teardrop pendant with a beautiful open spiral design.

At the top sits a faceted blue-green teardrop stone, while a smaller jewel rests at the centre of the spiral below. Depending on the light, the colours seem to move between watery blue, emerald and turquoise — which is exactly what gave this little collection its name.

The teardrop shape immediately made me think of morning dew resting on moss and clover, while the spiral gives the piece that subtle ancient-Irish character I love.

It’s feminine without being overly delicate, Celtic-inspired without feeling like traditional souvenir jewellery, and wonderfully easy to wear.

☘️ Reimagined in our workshop

This pendant was created here at The Irish Corner by repurposing and transforming an existing jewellery component.

I removed the original earring fitting and reworked the piece into a pendant necklace, adding the necklace fittings and chain to create something entirely different from its original form.

Rather than allowing a beautiful component to remain only one thing, I love giving pieces a second life and imagining what else they can become.

The Spiral

Spiral motifs can be found throughout Ireland’s ancient landscape and are among the most recognisable designs associated with prehistoric Irish art.
