The October Peacock brings together all those beautiful shades that appear as summer slips quietly into autumn — soft sage green, blush pink, warm amber, russet, smoky brown and pale golden tones.

The sweeping silver-tone design has an almost peacock-feather shape, decorated with a mixture of faceted jewel-toned stones that catch the light beautifully without feeling overly flashy.

They’re colourful, slightly whimsical and just a little bit old-world — exactly the sort of earrings I imagine being worn on a crisp October afternoon with boots, knitwear and leaves crunching underfoot. 🍁

These earrings are hand-assembled by me here at The Irish Corner.

I source the decorative peacock-style charms separately, then add the jump rings and earring fittings myself to create each finished pair.

You’ll see one of the workshop photographs within the listing showing the loose charms separately from the completed earrings, along with the findings used during assembly.

It’s a simple transformation, but one I love — taking a beautiful component and turning it into something ready to wear and gift.

What makes these particularly lovely is that no single colour dominates.

There are hints of:

• soft leaf green
• autumn amber
• warm russet
• blush pink
• smoky plum
• pale gold

Together they remind me of that short magical spell when the countryside seems to change colour every few days.

Despite the name, they don’t have to disappear into a jewellery box once October ends either — their vintage peacock shape and muted jewel tones make them wearable throughout the year.
